PARRAMATTA PARK TREE MANAGEMENT PLAN
Client :
Parramatta Park Trust
Description:
Parramatta Park is one of the most historically significant, early European colonial sites in Australia. It is home to Australia's first Government House which, with its surrounding curtilage, forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Listing for convict sites throughout Australia.
Parramatta Park also holds deep cultural significance for the local First Nations' people with evidence of their occupation and land stewardship dating back thousands of years before the arrival of Europeans.
Arterra prepared a comprehensive tree management plan with a view to preserving the park's heritage values and managing the daily realities of tree maintenance, succession planting and tree risk management in the context of an intensively used urban parkland.
