Arterra was involved from site planning to final handover, providing landscape architecture and consulting arborist services for this aged care project.
Protection of existing trees was a priority for this complex project. Retaining and integrating mature trees in the development provided an instant, mature landscape setting, softening and settling the new buildings into the site while providing interest and views from within the building.
As part of this work, Arterra proposed, specified and monitored the recovery and tranplanting of several mature palm tranplants within the site. They were successfully temporarily stored on site for several months before bing positioned in their final positions in the new landscape.
