Description:
Arterra provided extensive arboricultural input for the 50 hectare village that housed the 6000 international media representatives for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
The site of the old Lidcombe Hospital was refurbished to provide 3-4 star accommodation.
Many parts of the site contained significant historic planting. As part of our commission, 1709 trees were identified, tagged and assessed across the site. This information was mapped and then used in making master plan and site layout decisions during its use as the media village. Most of the trees were retained and protected during the use of the site for the 2000 Olympics.
