Tree and Landscape Heritage Assessments

Arterra have been engaged on various projects to undertake reviews and assessments of historic or significant trees and landscape settings. This has included the 2013 update of the City of Sydneys Register of Significant Trees (RST). This involved field checking, and photographing more than 2,600 significant trees throughout the City of Sydney LGA, undertaking historical research to validate existing listings and new nominations, public consultation in relation to the new nominations together with the complete re-design of the 350 page document to bring its presentation into line with the Citys current suite of tree management documents. Our database approach also meant the Register was able to be later transferred onto a web based platform. Some of the other heritage based assignments are listed below.
