This 270 ha historic (late 1800’s) site contained several valuable remnants of endangered native bush, an identified threatened species (Acacia pubescens) and substantial numbers of historic tree and palms (credited to Joseph Maiden), all of which contributed to the character and significance of the site. Historic photos were used to identify and calculate the age of individual trees. A Flora Conservation Management Plan was prepared. It included recommendations for the care of the heritage trees as well as potential replacement strategies.
