Arterra undertook an assessment of the existing flora of the 270 hectare historic (late 1800’s) Potts Hill Reservoir site.  The assessment culminated in a Flora Conservation Management Plan used to guide the protection, maintenance and management of the landscape well into the future. This large site contained several valuable remnants of endangered plant communities, an identified threatened species (Acacia pubescens) and substantial numbers of historic tree and palm plantings, all of which contributed to the overall character and significance of the site. The primary focus of the Plan was to control the proliferation and spread of weeds, prevent further degradation of remnant bush, revegetate parts of the site using endemic species, reduce the maintenance burden on the Client and assess and retain the culturally significant landscape elements.
