Arterra provided extensive arboricultural input for the 50 hectare village that housed the 6000 international media for the Sydney Olympics in 2000. The site of the old Lidcombe Hospital was refurbished to provide 3-4 star accommodation. Many parts of the site contained significant historic planting. As part of our commission, 1709 trees were tagged and assessed across the site. This information was mapped and then used in making master plan and site layout decisions during its use Media Village. The majority of the trees were retained and protected during the use of the site for the 2000 Olympics.
