Arterra was engaged as the lead consultant for the upgrade of Hurstville’s “Town Square”.  The brief was to update the square to be a vibrant social hub while respecting and maintaining its historical significance. The design retained the historic war memorial as the centrepiece. Flanking water features with vibrant lighting, reintroduction of historic date palms and the creation of multi-use spaces are hall marks. It has created opportunities for community functions and festivals with potential for a future cafe. Photo realistic 3D digital views of the design were used to communicate the proposal to Councillors, Council staff and community groups.
