Placing a large bulky goods centre appropriately within the landscape is a challenge.  The Supacenta building is set adjacent to an important remnant vegetation community on Hawkesbury Sandstone.  The building has been “bedded” into the site by using excavated site sandstone for the large perimeter retaining walls and utilising sandstone mulch in broad stylised planting strips around the site reflective of the “super graphics” adorning the building.  Predominantly indigenous plant species are used to further connect the site landscape to its natural surrounds.
